Marc and Mattye Silverman

The Silvermans have made lead gifts to Charlotte's Blumenthal N.C. Performing Arts Center, the Mint Museum of Craft and Design, the Hospice House of the Charlotte Region, Temple Beth El, Shalom Park's JCC Building, Child Care Resources, N.C. Dance Theater, the Jewish Federation and the Jewish Heritage Foundation of N.C. They have an endowed a professorship at The Duke Medical Center in memory of their son, David Silverman. Mattye has served on the community foundation, The Foundation for the Carolinas, for over 12 years and the North Carolina Arts and Science Council, as well as, having chaired member agencies of United Way, and the Founder's Circle of the Mint Museum of Craft and Design. Marc is on the Hebrew Cemetery Association and has served on the Mint Museum's Executive Board and Mecklenburg County Park Commission.
